Terms of use
1. Scope and provider
These terms apply to the use of CustomerFinder provided by the provider named in the imprint. The service is aimed exclusively at businesses (entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 German Civil Code). By registering you confirm that you use the service for commercial or self-employed purposes.
2. Service
CustomerFinder helps you find companies and their publicly available contact details. Results are found and rated automatically. They are preliminary, may be incomplete or wrong, and you must check them. We do not owe a particular search scope or number of results. We may develop or change the service or discontinue individual features where this is reasonable for you.
3. Account
You must provide correct details and keep your credentials secret. You are responsible for actions under your account where you are at fault. You can delete your account at any time in the account settings; your data is then removed.
4. Trial allowance and prices
Each account receives a limited free trial allowance. After that, searches are charged per search at the price shown before you start the search (final prices; as a small business under section 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), no VAT is charged or shown). There is no minimum term and no subscription. A search is charged when it is executed, regardless of the number of results, which are not guaranteed (see section 2). A search that fails because of a technical error on our side is not charged or is credited back. We may set and adjust allowances and usage limits (for example simultaneous searches or searches per hour) to protect the service.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the service unlawfully, overload or circumvent it (for example through automation or multiple accounts to bypass allowances), bypass security measures, systematically resell data, or use the service for spam or misleading or harassing messages.
6. Emails and contacting companies
CustomerFinder can help you prepare an email text. We do not send emails for you; you send them yourself from your own mailbox. You alone are responsible for every message and must check before sending whether you may contact the recipient under the law of your country and of the recipient's country, in particular rules on unsolicited advertising (in Germany, for example, Section 7 UWG), data protection and sender identification. In many countries, including Germany, contacting a company by email without prior consent or a clearly legitimate interest is not allowed.
Every prepared email contains your sender details and links through which recipients can object to further contact, ask for a call or report abuse. You must not remove or alter these details and links. You must stop contacting any recipient who objects, immediately and permanently. CustomerFinder blocks preparing further emails for such addresses. We may suspend your account in case of abuse reports or violations.
You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from a message you sent or from unlawful use of the service, including reasonable legal defence costs, to the extent you are responsible for the violation.
7. Data and content
Your own inputs and saved data remain yours. You grant us the right to process them to provide the service. Displayed company data comes from third-party public sources; rights in those sources remain with their owners. You are responsible for using the data lawfully.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not owe uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, outages at third-party providers (for example search services) and force majeure can limit the service.
9. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee. For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation (one whose fulfilment makes the contract possible and which you may rely on), liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded. We are not liable for the accuracy and completeness of search results or for whether contacting someone is lawful in a particular case.
10. Term and termination
The contract runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate with 14 days' notice and may suspend or terminate without notice for good cause (for example abuse).
11. Changes
We may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice. If you do not object within that period and keep using the service, the changes are deemed accepted; we will point this out in the notice.
12. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Neukirchen. If a provision is invalid, the rest remains effective. Last updated: November 2026.
